Privacy policy

This policy describes the personal data this website collects, why, how long we keep it and who it is shared with.

This is a presentation website: it hosts no online shop, no customer account, no newsletter and no comment section. The processing described below is therefore the only processing it carries out.

Last updated: August 2026. This English version is provided for convenience: in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Controller

La Boit askis Pierrot Michaud, trading as “La Boit’askis”, Rue de Médran 25, 1936 Verbier (Switzerland), UID CHE-103.322.831.

For any question about your data: info@boitaskis.com or +41 27 771 34 87.

2. Applicable legal framework

We process your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its implementing ordinance (DPO). For people residing in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies insofar as it covers our activities.

3. Data we process

Connection data

Each time the website is visited, our hosting provider automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page viewed, browser and operating system type and, where applicable, the referring website. These logs are used to keep the website running, to secure it and to diagnose faults. They are not used to identify you or to build a profile.

Contact form

When you write to us using the contact form, we process the following information:

  • your first name and last name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you choose to provide it (optional field);
  • the content of your message;
  • confirmation that you have ticked the consent box.

This information is sent to us by email and is not stored in the website’s database. It then remains in our mailbox, like any message you might send us directly.

Please do not send us sensitive data (health, beliefs, etc.) through this channel: we do not need it to answer a rental, sales or servicing enquiry.

Protection against automated submissions

To prevent spam, the form checks that a field invisible to visitors has been left empty and that a minimum amount of time has passed before submission, and limits the number of messages sent from the same IP address to five per hour. This IP address is kept for this sole purpose, for one hour at most, and is then deleted automatically.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering your enquiries: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures.
  • Keeping the website secure and available: our legitimate interest in protecting our infrastructure and preventing abuse.
  • Running and improving the website: our legitimate interest in offering a functional, up-to-date website.
  • Complying with our legal obligations: in particular accounting and record-keeping obligations.

5. Retention periods

  • IP address used for spam protection: one hour at most, then automatic deletion.
  • Messages received through the form: as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and the relationship that follows, then no more than 24 months after the last exchange.
  • Hosting provider’s technical logs: according to the hosting provider’s settings, generally a few months.
  • Commercial and accounting records: ten years, in accordance with Swiss law.

6. Who has access to your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. It is accessible only to the members of our team who need it, and to the following service providers:

  • Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland): website hosting and email delivery. The servers are located in Switzerland.
  • Google: display of the map on the contact page (see section 7).

Your data may also be disclosed to the authorities where the law requires us to do so.

7. Google Maps

Our contact page displays a map provided by Google Maps. Loading it establishes a direct connection between your browser and Google’s servers, to which your IP address is transmitted, along with the usual technical information from your browser. If you are logged in to a Google account, this visit may be linked to your account.

Google LLC is based in the United States: displaying the map therefore involves a disclosure of data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, governed by the contractual safeguards and transfer mechanisms put in place by Google. This processing is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

8. Disclosure of data abroad

Apart from the map described above, your data is hosted and processed in Switzerland.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. In accordance with Article 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act, we inform you of their use and of your right to refuse them.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: set by WordPress to maintain the session of a person logged in to the website’s administration and to remember your consent preferences. They are essential to the operation of the website and do not require your consent.
  • Language cookie: when the website is offered in several languages, a cookie remembers the one you have chosen.

As at the update date shown at the top of this page, this website uses no audience measurement, statistics or advertising tools: no Google Analytics, no social network pixel, nor anything equivalent. Should such a tool be added, it would only be activated after your consent, obtained through the banner provided for this purpose, and this policy would be updated accordingly.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Some features of the website may then no longer be available.

10. Security

The website is served exclusively over HTTPS and uses security headers designed to limit misuse. Automated submissions are filtered, and access to the administration is restricted. As no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we ask you not to send us confidential information by form or by email.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to object to its processing or request that it be restricted, and to receive a copy of it in a commonly used format. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, email us at info@boitaskis.com. We may ask you for proof of identity, so as not to disclose your data to a third party.

If you consider that your data is not being processed lawfully, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, Bern). If you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also contact the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not take any decision producing legal effects concerning you based solely on automated processing, and we do not create any personality profiles.

13. Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy to reflect changes to the website or to the legal framework. The applicable version is the one published on this page, whose update date appears at the top.
